If you’re planning to propose someone there cannot be any more appropriate and romantic point than the Key Bridge. This place has the breath taking scenic beauty at the sunrise and sunset. It lets the visitors enjoy the panoramic 360 view of the Washington Monument and Rosslyn, the Kennedy Centre, DC, Georgetown and most importantly the Potomac River. It is the Washington’s oldest surviving road bridge. For a heat pumping date you could rent bikes to cycle over the bridge and then along the C&O Canal in Georgetown.

On the 11th floor of lavish W Hotel sits the POV Rooftop Bar with the views of downtown DC that are simply breath taking along with being romantic. There can’t be a better place to propose your date than this rooftop bar. With a seat up here you can gaze at the White House, National Mall, and towering monuments. The rush hours for this place start from the late evening, so the most recommended and suitable time for visiting the place is early in the evening before the hip crowds rush in for those glittering views. Charcuterie and cheese plate accompanied with a creatively made cocktail is the specialty of this bar and obviously the warm DC breeze can’t be missed on the list.

If we ever talk about a romantic place in DC what we can’t miss is the Dumbarton Oaks in our list. It’d take you to an imaginary fairyland surrounded by fountains, finials, and a creative arrangement of colorful flower beds, as if you were teleported to Italy. This piece of art i.e the garden and the adjoining manor were first built back in 1920. During the high season, obviously due to a number of people having the urge to enjoy the scenic beauty, the entrance fee is 10 bucks which is fairly low with respect to the pleasures it provides, while admission during winters is totally free.

One cannot imagine a more romantic date than an afternoon spent above water with the scenic beauty of the river. The idea for this romantic date is not booking a huge yacht or something just a small private two person boat and have the most romantic private time exploring the Potomac or the Tidal Basin area.

It is the best place for nature lovers and is famous for the provision of breath taking beautiful scenes and memories. It has 32 miles of hiking trails and is also the best picnic spot. Quite an adventurously romantic date in the lush green thick forest with old rock bridges and streams of clear water. During summers this park hosts concerts which makes the visitors switch from their hiking shoes to dancing shoes, you can’t get a better chance to propose your date than a romantic walk and if lucky a seasonal concert between the woods and streams.
